Tar soap was one of the first Portuguese soaps to be produced with vegetable pine tar, indicated for the treatment of skin problems.

With recognized reducing properties, Tar soap is especially suitable for peeling skin. With antiseptic and germicidal action, vegetable tar can also be used to alleviate symptoms of dermatoses, to reduce itching and dandruff.
