Brewer's yeast is an abundant source of chromium, protein, selenium, potassium, iron, zinc and magnesium. It is also rich in B Vitamins (including B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9). Deficiency of these nutrients in our body can lead to abnormalities in the skin, hair and nails. In particular, deficiencies of Vitamin B2, B7 and B9 have been linked to hair loss.

Iron, Vitamin D, Vitamin B9, Vitamin B12 and Selenium are vitamins and minerals that may be involved in graying/lightening hair. Supplementation of these nutrients, when in deficiency in the body, can improve premature aging and the appearance of gray hair.

Vitamin C, in addition to being involved in collagen formation, plays an essential role in the intestinal absorption of iron. As well as, together with the action of Vitamin B3 and Selenium, it enhances the powerful antioxidant activity of Vitamin E, important in the prevention of skin aging.

Collagen is present in the human body as a whole, in bones, tendons, hair, nails, skin and muscles.
